Review Meeting #24

Here we go again, report from meeting number 24!

This time to the Leggenda teams we added special guests from 1940's 😱😱

Dynamo Moskow 1945 - Sparta Prague 1991     1 - 1

First timer Dynamo came all the way from 1945 Soviet Union to take Leggenda teams. Many books have been wrote about their 1945 tour of UK ( "Passovotchka - Moskow Dynamo in Britain 1945"  - by David Downing) telling the story of the beautiful passing game displayed by the russians and man, they performed! In a tough but well fought match they tied with a talented Sparta Prague from the 90's. The goals happened in quick sequence, cechs took the lead.

Dynamo Moskow 1945 - Liverpool 1946    1 - 1

Second game for the Dynamos against this time a Liverpool side from the 1946 champion of Britain.
Another tie game with many chances from both sides. Everything happened in the first half and many more goals could have been scored if it wasn't from the great goalkeeping and bad luck.

Uruguay 2018 - Colombia 1990     1 - 4

La "Celeste" completely wiped out by an amazing and cynical colombian side from the 90's. Muslera just wasn't on top of his game and it showed, his disastrous performance led to a harsh defeat in the first southamerican derby on the night.

Paraguay - Argentina 1978  2 - 0

Second upset on the evening as the tough Paraguayans topped the "Albiceleste" world champion of the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. Ardiles and Kempes were not effective as usual and the host in red and white striped shirt penetrated way to easily in the Argentinian defence.

Review Meeting#20

We were back in action last Thursday fielding HW la Leggenda which we really enjoy playing with.
USSR, Chile, Cechoslovakia, Netherlands and Sweden took the blaze in a revival of their best years and performances in World and Euro Cups of the past.

A lot of fun, and a bit of nostalgia!

"Just three games? Well...yes...they were long ones and when we start talking....we talk. Besides we focused on enjoying ourselves, afterall that's is the point of the club.
I don't see thet point in people screaming for goals or sweating because trying to flick a finger in the most perfect way possible, this is a game and it should be experience as such, competitive sure but with fun and a relaxed atmosphere. (A.Tarantino)."

Review Meeting #8

New training session last night at the SC Berlin, this time HW teams challenged Flat Bases modern ones. Surprisingly enough the old HW stood their ground and were defeated in the final by 1 goal showcasing though full competitiveness...as well as stunning beauty! Ah, those old plastic men still got it...

Neuerliches Training gestern Abend im SC Berlin. Diesmal standen sich Heavyweight Teams und moderne Flachsockel gegenüber. Überraschenderweise hielten sich die alten Heavyweights erstaunlich gut, wurden im Finale mit nur einem Tor besiegt und stellten so ihre volle Wettbewerbsfähigkeit unter Beweis ... genauso wie ihre atemberaubende Schönheit! Ah, diese alten Plastik-Männchen haben‘s immer noch drauf ...

Review Meeting#6

Last night the SCB got together once again for another exciting Subbuteo night,
this time only 3 players attended, unfortunately we actually forgot to bring the sponsors to be applied to the fields...ops!my bad...next time we'll make sure they are part of the bag we usually bring =)

we played a mix of HW and Zeugo flat bases,

Gestern Abend hat sich der SCB erneut für einen spannenden Subbuteo-Abend zusammengefunden. Diesmal haben nur drei Spieler teilgenommen. Unglücklicherweise haben wir vergessen, die Bandenwerbung für die Spielplatten mitzubringen ... ups! Mein Fehler ... nächstes Mal stellen wir sicher, dass sie sich auch in der Tasche befinden, die immer mitkommt =)

Eeeegal ... wir spielten mit einem Mix aus Heavyweights und Zeugo Flachsockeln. Hier sind die Ergebnisse nebst Statistik und ein paar Bildern.
