Review meeting #21
In the meeting number 21 we reinstall and test our Astropitch, thanks to Nico, our groundsmen, as well as co-founder.
Here is his report on it:
"Today I removed all of this sticky shit from the back which forced me to wash my hands several times afterwards. Then I began to glue the Astro with watered down PVA glue which took me an hour. I only applied glue to parts of the back then pressed it down heavily and stroke away any bubbles. Then I glued the next part and so on. And voila this is the result:
After all that work I couldn’t resist to play a solo game on this newly placed Astropitch. So I fielded Chile to face North Korea according to their reported formations.
After a defensive start North Korea fired a shot at the crossbar after some sloppy defending. Chile tried a bit more after that and had a nice shot deflected over the goal. The following corner kick was delivered into the penalty box nicely and an attacker from the second row slammed the ball at the near post. A fast counter attack brought the North Korean forward into very good shooting position and he stuck the ball into the far corner of the net.
Chile controlled the better part of the second half but Korea created a lot of counter attacks. Although most of their shots came from narrow angles and were not too threatening it bought them enough time. The final minutes of the game were rather hectic. In the end the game was decided by the only goal scored in the first half.
The game proved that the renewed pitch is still very good to play on. The Leggenda HW are gliding on the smooth surface and still some nice spin movements were carried out."
See you next session!
