Seht, was der Paketbote heute geliefert hat! Die neuen Adidas Sneakers sind eingetroffen. An sich ist so ein Turnschuh aus Herzogenaurach nicht weiter ungewöhnlich. Dieser neue Schuh verfügt allerdings über ein Detail, welches das Herz von so manchem Subbute-ista höher schlagen lassen dürfte. So auch uns im Subbuteo Club Berlin. Die Einlegesohle zieren Subbuteo-Figuren in der für die 1980'er und 1990'er Jahre ikonischen Silhouette!

Leider lässt der Schuh von außen keine Rückschlüsse zu auf seine Reminiszenz an das größte Tischfußballspiel aller Zeiten. Vermutlich war man bei Adidas nicht bereit, Geld für eine Lizenz auszugeben. Das tut dem Erfolg des Schuhs keinen Abbruch. Er hat seinen Weg in die einschlägigen Social Media Gruppen und Twitter Accounts längst geschafft. Und auch auf YouTube wird bereits über ihn gesprochen. Geht man auf die Bestellseite, so wird dieser Schuh als Top-Seller deklariert. Alles in allem also ein toller Erfolg für das Unternehmen aus Süddeutschland.

Der Schuh ist erhältlich bei JD Sports und kostet EUR 100 (inkl. MwSt.). Adidas fällt eher klein aus, so dass man mit der Bestellung einer Schuhgröße über normal gut fährt. Auf der Bestellseite gibt es einen sehr guten Größen-Kalkulator, wenn man in der Lage ist, eine gut sitzende Größe von einer der vielen auf dem Markt erhältlichen Turnschuhe benennen zu können.

Wer jetzt denkt, dies sei einmalig, der täuscht sich. Schon vor einigen Jahren hat Adidas einen Turnschuh mit Subbuteo-Bezug herausgebracht, den Trimm Trab. Damals war der Bezug zum Tischfußball noch ein wenig deutlicher. Farbe und Nähte erinnerten an ein Baumwoll-Spielfeld und in der Sohle fand man den legendären Adidas Tango Ball, der gleichzeitig einer der besten, je von Subbuteo produzierten Bälle ist. Dazu gab es drei Miniaturbälle, die auf den ersten Blick wie Subbuteo Bälle wirken, aber doch deutlich größer sind. Jemand in Herzogenaurach muss wohl großer Subbuteo Fan sein.

Unserem Freund Stephen von Subbuteo online (https://subbuteo.online/) zufolge, ist sogar schon der nächste Coup auf dem Markt. Die hier vorgestellte Version des Adidas Handball Spezial in grün!!!

See what the parcel service delivered today! The new Adidas Sneakers arrived. Normally there's nothing special about a pair of Trainers from Herzogenaurach. This new shoe however has a feature that will certainly make the heart of more than one Subbute-ista beat faster. And so do we at Subbuteo Club Berlin. The insole is graced with Subbuteo figures in the iconic shape of the 1980's / 1990's.

Unfortunately the shoe doesn't give a clue from the outside of the reminiscence to the greatest table football game ever. Probably Adidas wasn't prepared to splash out money for a licence. That doesn't do the success of this shoe any harm. It found it's way into the usual social media groups and twitter accounts. And even on YouTube it's being discussed. If you visit the order site, this shoe is being declared as a top-selling product. Over all a great success for the company based in southern Germany.

These shoes are available at JD Sports and they cost EUR 100 (incl. VAT). Adidas tend to be smaller in comparison so it is a good advice to to order one size larger than usual. On the website you'll find a good size calculator if one is able to tell a good fitting shoe size of one of several trainers currently available on the market.

It's wrong to think that this is a one-off. A couple of years ago Adidas had already released a trainer relating to Subbuteo: The Trimm Trab. Back then the relationship to table football was more recognizable. Colour and seams reminded of a cotton pitch and on the shoe insert you would find the legendary Adidas Tango ball, which is at the same time one of the best Subbuteo balls ever produced. Together with the pair of shoes came three miniature balls. At first glance they looked like Subbuteo balls but were in fact remarkably larger. Someone in Herzogenaurach seems to be a big Subbuteo fan.
